Higher Plant Cell

Plant EVeration Cell Tech.

Plant Everation Cell Tech.'s a foundational technology that includes a series of processes from securing various useful plants to their introduction in vitro and organ differentiation to plant cell culture.

Callogenesis

Using plant tissues (leaf, stem, root growing point and vascular tissue, flower inflorescence) and seeds (hypocotyl and cotyledon), callus, an undifferentiated cell mass, is induced at the scarred area of the tissue, and this is then proliferated to turn into a useful ingredient.

EVeration Cell proliferation

Upon sterilization and disinfection, various organs of the plant are used and introduced in vitro. Meanwhile, for seeds, germination is induced in vitro through disinfection, and the hypocotyls and cotyledons derived therefrom are used to induce and propagate callus in a medium containing the optimal growth hormone composition for each plant cell line. Our company is compiling a database on plant species/genus-specific media compositions and efficiently securing callus cultures.

EVeration Cell Boosting

This is the optimal culture system for increasing the effective ingredients of each plant through cell culture. It presents optimal conditions by considering not only the quantitative proliferation of cells but also the qualitative proliferation of effective ingredients. In particular, our company is focusing on light, an important factor when growing plants, and researching the growth of each cell line, the enhancement of effective ingredients, and even the increase in exosome secretion using specific light sources.

3D CALLUSPHERE™ culture system

3D cell culture of various plant callus

3D CALLUSPHERE™: This is a technology for producing optimal callus cultures by controlling the injection of air and flow rate for each plant in a culture solution using a bioreactor by creating a 3D cell culture (3D CALLUSPHERE™) system.

LED SPHERE

Using a plant cell culture, we establish an optimal culture system that considers not only quantitative proliferation but also qualitative proliferation of effective ingredients of each plant. In particular, our company is focusing on light, an important factor when growing plants, and researching the growth of each cell line, the enhancement of effective ingredients, and even the increase in exosome secretion using specific light sources. This involves using a solid medium (LED SOLID) and liquid medium (LED SUSPHERE) culture with a refined light source, i.e. LED light source, to achieve optimal plant cell proliferation and effective ingredient enhancement.

Relationship between plant growth and light

Culture technology using LED (LED SPHERE)

Our company has established culture conditions for optimal plant cell proliferation when treated with specific LED light sources

When MAGENTA(M) LED was used as the LED light source for culturing Edelweiss Callus cultures, not only was the secondary metabolites containing the indicator components of edelweiss increased, but the exosome yield also increased by more than twice compared to culture condition left in the dark, and it was confirmed that the moisturizing and anti-aging indicators increased accordingly as well.

EVeration Cell Banking(Cell Line Preservation)

EVeration Cell Banking, a banking technology for long-term preservation of plant cell lines, is a technology that preserves cells long-term without significant differences in cell status before and after storage through processes such as osmotic adjustment according to sucrose concentration, cryoprotectant treatment concentration, vitrification process, and rapid thawing process after storage during freezing of cultured cell lines.

Organogenesis

The callus or cell culture of the plant introduced in vitro undergoes a differentiation process in which the plant cells or tissues form new organs. Here, the development of specific organs is induced mainly by controlling the concentration of plant hormones such as auxin and cytokinin. It plays an essential role in the regeneration of specific organs and plant cloning techniques. GFC Life Science uses Plant EVeration Cell Tech. to sterilize plant organs (e.g. ginseng roots) to induce callus, and then promotes root development using appropriate hormone treatment before mass-producing them in a bioreactor. Meanwhile, the protoplasts are separated from the organs for commercial applications.
